Prisms and diffraction grating are normal dispersive elements. A prism achieves dispersion on account of the main difference in the material refractive index according to the wavelength. However, a diffraction grating makes use of the difference in diffraction route for every wavelength as a consequence of interference. Both equally prisms and diff
